Huh?

Of course it will have iOS 11 on it. The new iPhones don't support anything lower than iOS 11 and every year they ship with the newest iOS.

Well excuse the eff out of me... I haven't bought a new phone in 2 years and my iPad Pro that arrived yesterday DID have iOS 10 on it.

Thanks for the info... Huh? could have been left out though. LOL

Sorry. I wasn't trying to be rude.

Your iPad Pro had iOS 10 because the iPad Pro is not a brand new release (it was released before iOS 11). The newest iPhones always ship with the newest iOS every year and don't support older versions of iOS. Apple makes a separate iOS build for each device - there is no such thing as an iOS 10 build for the iPhone 8 or X.

I’m not a fan of iOS 11 on my iPhone 6. Lots of stuttering, and battery drain is an issue. I was planning on upgrading to the 8 but I opted for a 7 since I’m not really interested in the minor differences between the 7 and 8. 6 to 7 seems like a fairly substantive upgrade as it is.
Sorry to hear about your iPhone 6. On my iPhone 6 (the 16GB version) iOS 11 is running perfectly. In some ways it seems to be snappier than it was under 10.3.3. And the all important battery performance is as good or slightly better under iOS 11. I would try a clean install and see if that corrects your issues.

No worries... thanks again for the info. I don't deny I'm somewhat misinformed. :)
