I've just installed IOS 11 on my iPad Air and it's totally unusable - To start off with, it really slow to boot, moving icons around on the home screen is totally a no go - the screen just seems to freeze up when you try to move icons around the screen. Flicking through the screens on the iPad is just so slow.

I had it on my device for about 5 minutes and have now removed it.

I understand that this is a very early beta but has anyone else experienced the same issues on an iPad Air?

Thanks in advance.

Installed on my Air1. Was stuttering, and having problems with apps and icons wiggling when exited apps. Rebooted it, and has been fine ever since. Little bit of lag, but it is useable.

Shame Apple can't breathe new life in older devices with its new iOS, guess that goes against their business model. just got the creator update for windows 10 which added quite a bit of new features and it actually made my 8 year old desktop seem faster.

My mom has an iPad Air which has lag on it since installing iOS 11. I agree, pretty sure that this is Apple’s way of making you upgrade your devices. If you want to run the new iOS and accompanying apps, you have to upgrade your device. Whether you want to or not. Smart business model.

I had installed iOS 11 on my iPad air too. It was painfully slow. However guys it's just the first beta and I am sure it won't ever be as fast as iOS 10. But at least we get updates for 4-5 years which is the maximum in the industry for mobiles.

Also I feel they are really not concentrating on iPad air and only in later betas they will have their attention on iPad air.

In my case when i used to open mail app, it would hang there forever. Dont know whats the reason. Only a restart would solve it.

I'm also having an issue with my iPad air running ios 11. I've noticed that it seems to be in a reboot loop when the iPad is plugged in with the iPad off.

Just keep IOS11 away from 1Gb memory devices and your'e good.
Iphone6 and Ipad Air are the last 1Gb memory devices so leave those on IOS10 (which is slow enough on 1Gb)
