iOS 11 iPad compatibility

are there features in iOS 11, multitasking, drag and drop, dock, split screen etc that are not compatible with some older iPads?

I've got an iPad Air (1) and an iPad Mini (Retina - I think that makes it a 2). Are there any restrictions on those devices that they can't utilize any iOS 11 features?

Thanks. I had seen that. Also found this - https://www.imore.com/how-use-slide-over-and-split-view-ipad-ios-11#add

But more importantly, for older iPads such as the iPad Air 1 and iPad Mini 2 (Retina Display), iOS 11 supports Slide Over and the Dock and new App Switcher but does not support Split View.

So no side by side apps on these older iPads.
