The OS wasn’t fine navigating through a ton of apps then all of a sudden the Settings app went grey like it was installing. I could no longer navigate pages or open apps. I could only lock screen and go to widgets. It would not let me turn off the phone. The only way I’m typing this right now was to turn on the flashlight app to burn down the battery to zero.

Woke up this morning and plugged it in. Fine so far. Anyone else have this issue yet?

Had something similar happen to me where my 7 became unresponsive except for pulling up control center and the notification screen, but could not open any app or power down my phone. Very strange.

In the future, do a hard reset instead of just draining the battery to dead. This can be done by holding down the home button and power button (power button and volume down button if you have a 7 or 7+) until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen, about 10 seconds.

That’s the exact same experience. Tried both types of power down and neither would work.
