Noticed since iOS 11 at random times the music player would be in Notification Center. I have to quit the Music app (which wasn’t running in the background prior by the way) to get it to go away, until it unfortunately pops back up again.

Yes this is happening to me no idea how to stop,it

Also noticed my info screen on my BMW when connected to Bluetooth won’t show the song information and wondering if all this is connected somehow.

same problem in my VW..
tried setting up the bluetooth connection as new, but that didnt change anything.

Happens to me and my 6s a lot.

Does your volume control in cc also shows mute when this music widget thing happens? My cc shows that the volume is muted but on my beatsx I‘m on 100%.

Music playback has been broken since iOS 10.

My iPhone still randomly forgets what I was playing, after (for example) either not playing any music for a couple of hours, or using other apps. It is a real nuisance, especially when using Playlists as it forgets where you where on the Playlist.

In 2017 that's embarrassingly bad.

I have a similar occurrence when playing a video in Safari. If I go back to the home screen without pausing the video (not in fullscreen mode) and I don't close out Safari, then I hear the audio playing and the controls are in NC. If it's not a bug, it's a dumb design IMO.

Seems to occur more frequently when using the Apple TV Remote module in Control Center. When the music player does pop up laughing the Apple TV Remote module does get rid of it (could see it happening in the background). Other times it just pops up as random as ever.
