Hi, I installed ios 11 on my iphone 6s. However just noticed that the scrolling between screens is very very slow and has jerks.

Anyone know a fix for this? The animation was smooth with ios 10! :-(

Only place I have seen that is on my Pro 12 at times when scrolling between photos. It is intermittent and I know when as the status bar will not hide.
The Mini 4 wil start falling behind if I am quickly scrolling between multiple screens. Saw that on iOS 10 too.

When did you update? It needs to settle. I updated 2 days back and was really stuttery at first and still is but is much better as time passes. I think it just needs settling time to smooth out.

As with every update, things are "settling" in. (For me Photos was doing a lot of background activities.) Give it two days. Mine was jerky on 6 Plus, it's as smooth as iOS 10 now.

People who don’t believe in planned obscoloscence deserve this. Others already knew this happens each year.

I hear what your saying but i dont think that is the case here. I am seeing posts from iPhone 8 users who are having issues with lagging and overall poor performance. Its happening with 6,7 & now 8 devices so most likely is an isuue with the iOS11 release. It just wasnt ready for public release imo

I do not believe the "settling in" thing anymore. I had ios 11 on my air 2, which was indeed jerky; when I installed ios 10 again it was immediately smooth and nothing needed to be settled. This story about "settling" comes up every year, probably someone at the time of ios 10 said the same thing about 10.

My personal view on it is that ios 11 is not optimized for anything under A9.

I've noticed actually wired usage of memory is nearly 100% usage under A9 chips. hmmmm.

iOS 10.3.3 runs extremely well on the iPhone 5s, a 4 year old phone, and upward. iOS 10.0 had big issues on everything, including the phone released alongside it.

Simple logic and facts tell you planned obscolescene is garbage. Disagree? Explain the 5s

Try moving screens while music is playing in the background total mess!

Give it a couple of days and your eyes will get used to the stutter and you'll barely notice anymore (unless you go back to iOS 10.3.3 of course)

You need to take this non sense elsewhere. Neither iPhone 6s nor iPhone 7 had any issues with 10.0. In fact 10.0 ran better on my iPhone 7 than 10.3.3.

It happens each year, just not for some of the imaginary reasons that get presented.

Except plenty of people talking about all kinds of things with their iPhone 7 phones on the early iOS 10 days. The iOS 10 forum here is just a sample of that.

The only nonsense around here is your claims of planned obsolescence. When Apple supports their devices much longer than all the competitors. Most Android phones don’t even come with the latest version the OS.

And therin lies the problem! By supporting the devices “much longer” which while admirible, presents the exact kind of issues people confuse with planned obsolescence.

Android “end” support updates when the device is stable on a current OS and does not offer any future alternatives and so android users may be without the latest OS but their devices remain on an OS that simply works for that particular model. The only alternative to run a current OS is by custom rom installation
