iPhone iOS 12.1 beta on XR?

I read somewhere that when we get our XRs tomorrow, we won’t be able to restore from a PC backup- because there currently isn’t any iOS 12.1 betas available for the XR... & will be stuck waiting for the next beta on the 29th, before being able to load the backup.
Anyone can speak as to the validity of this??

If it’s true same thing happened on the X...gotta wait until Cupertino wakes up and realizes they screwed up and push another beta out...maybe they are intending on putting up the gm tomorrow after all?

Ugh, what a pain... iCloud backup isn’t version dependent though, yeah? Just takes an ungodly amount of time?

Both are version dependent, when it happened to me I was in Boston I couldn’t update my phone with a backup until late in the day, Apple sends software engineers to most flagship stores to identify problems like this so when it gets to be late enough in Cali that everyone is awake they can get it fixed sooner and push stuff out.

iOS 12.1 should be out in public form tuesday I would think since there is an event scheduled that day.

Good chance they release the beta for the XR today, as they have typically done for other releases. Just have to wait and see.

Yeah. It was since the 22nd & b4 since the 15th... if that schedule continues, it’d be the 29th when we see a beta for XR- unless you’re saying the beta profile will pull b5 on the XR?
