Given the public beta for iOS 13 is still dev beta 2 I’m holding out.

You guys go test it and let me know how that goes.

people are gone in this thread everybody is on ios 13 public beta thread lol.
Not me. Salivating for iOS 13 but going to wait until beta 3 or 4. 12.4 betas have been working well for me, I'll be happy to install 12.4b5.

Lol I’m nervous about the 13 public so might just install on my iPad and see how that goes. Installing beta 5 later on iPhone since it’s so stable!

Wow! I have never seen this before in a beta, this severely drained my battery. Usually I can use my phone at work and come home with ~70% charge left. Tonight I came home with only 11% of my battery left. Anyone have any Idea what is going on? At home and work I connect to wifi, since I have a limited data plan. This behavior is like when I only use lte, like most of yesterday, when I was away from home for most of the day.
I think I figured it out. For some reason it was not connecting to wifi at work and when I got home it was still on LTE. Once I went to settings it suddenly connected to my home wifi. Usually this is seamless and happens automatically. Has anyone else had this kind of behavior? It was on LTE when I reboot the device, but when I went to settings, it connected to wifi.

Thanks

I did the same thing. Upgraded iPad to 13 beta last night, and keeping my phone on 12.4 betas. Can't chance my phone going down, need it for work too much. However, with that being said, 13 on the iPad has been extremely smooth for this early in the game!

It’s looking quite smooth so far. I guess Apple will take all the time in the world to polish this as it would be the final update for a lot of devices.
[doublepost=1561474002][/doublepost]Also the size is quite big for a beta 5. More than 200 MBs.

Cellular seems to be much better on this beta too! Finally have full bars with AT&T. I expect this to be the last beta.

Really? That is promising. I have AT&T as well. I thought it was significantly better in b4. But b5 vs b4 is same modem firmware for XS and carrier version for AT&T. Based on that info and your statement, I am cautiously optimistic for more improvement!

Argh! And it’s like as soon as I posted that I have fluctuating service again . But it does seem a little more stable. Only dropped bars when I entered this back room of my office so probably due to that, but overall my service has been pretty good throughout all the betas. Just first time I actually noticed it kept full bars on LTE.

How’s battery life on iOS 12.4?

Honestly? Planned obsolescence.
Apple pulls this s—t every time on the .3 and .4.

12.1/2 were amazing

12.3 meh. 12.4 awful.

iPhone 8 Plus here.

This beta is amazing for standby battery life in particular.

I'm at around 50% and my phone (iPhone 7 Plus) hasn't seen a charger in over 30 hours. Admittedly I haven't been using it all that much, which is why I said standby life.

In fact I want to purposefully avoid the charger and see how much longer it runs but I'm going cycling tonight and don't like to be out on the bike with so little charge, so it'll get a boost this evening.
