iOS 12 grouping pictures into an album in text - how to turn off?

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I don't want 4 or more pictures in my messages to group together into an album sent via iCloud. This has only been confusing people I have sent pictures to, which redirects them to the iCloud website and the photos are in a .zip file. How can I turn this feature off? I can send 3 pictures normally in text without this happening.

That would be the thread to talk about it more, but basically it seems like there isn't a way to change that.
