I haven't read a single comment of anyone trying out iOS 12 beta on a iPhone 6 (plus).
Yet in the keynote demo Craig used an iPhone 6.

Is it any snappier on a 6 than iOS 11?
Is the iPhone 6 (plus) usable? I don't consider iOS 11 usable on a ip6.

You may need to define “usable”. I never had any issues with my 6 with iOS 11 so not sure my experience with 12 will matter. For the record, 12 had been outstanding so far, and probably faster than 11

I have it on my 6+. But it's not been my main phone for so long that I'm not 100% sure of my recollections. I'm glad I don't use it as my main device at this point. It's running great, but the 1GB really hurts. It's slow at times for sure, but totally usable. I can say launching the camera is faster than I recall it being in quite some time. But slower than 11? Honestly, I don't recall at this point. I only did 11 & 6+ for a very short period of time. But my gut says yes.

If you're going to try a beta, have a good backup in case you don't like it.

If you're waiting for the release, upgrade soon enough that you can still downgrade if you don't care for the experience.

Using it on my 6s since PB2. It's my daily driver and haven't had any major problems. The odd app crashes now and again but nothing major. In terms of a comparison to IOS11, I find 12 much slicker and faster on the 6S. I experienced a major drop in performance when I went from IOS10 to 11. I think IOS11 was Apple's Windows Vista.
