iPhone iOS 12 Reminders/List Sharing

Not sure if anyone has looked into this but I tried sharing a list I created in the stock Reminders app with another iOS user running iOS 12 and it has been stuck on "Pending..." with no notification that I shared on the other end and vice versa.

Has anyone tried?
