I have a new iphone 6s (battery condition 100%) and with ios 11.4.1 was laggy and stuttering. i've installed ios 12 beta 11 but I can't see much comparison between this two updates. it still a little laggy. I think its normal considering it stills in beta. so... the final release its going to be better? I was thinking of doing a clean install when official release to see if it helps with the lag.

Do you think ios 12 will get better?

From what many of us see iOS 12 is already way better than iOS 11 is/was. Considering your iPhone was “laggy and stuttering” on both iOS 11.4.1 and on iOS 12 beta, a clean install should fix it for you. I run the latest iOS 12 public beta on iPhone 7 and iPad Air 2, no complaints.

My beta iOS 12 runs perfectly smooth on an SE. Sounds like it's your device not the OS. My ipX on 11.4.1 is fantastic incidentally.

I’ve found on X that 11 vs current public beta to be similar... but in both cases, my Essential Phone running 9.0 Pie is smoother and faster, and that uses SD 835 with 4GB. Apps definitely load faster and web pages load faster as well. Web pages by default load Reader mode in Safari.

App Store, Twitter also slow to load and refresh.

Too much battery optimizing in iOS? One possibility. For all the fantastic memory management I think user should have more control and choice if that’s a factor. I have a wireless charger next to me anyway.

My iPad Pro 10.5 has 4GB and may even run better.

If the iPhone Plus came with 6GB 128GB storage, I’d upgrade.
I prefer the screen and clarity of text and images on the X vs the Essential.

Maybe there is still extra code in beta though and it will get more optimization in final release.
