I have the iPhone 7 and I am wondering if I should upgrade from 12.4.1 to 13.1.2 because I read that it is to buggy. Another random question is there anyway I can I inprove the battery life on my phone because I went through all the apps and turned off the background app refresh and cellular data and it still goes down also is it normal for the phone to feel a little warm when it charges and it takes forever to charge
Thanks

Hello there

No need to update as it is still buggy.

For battery check first the health in the battery settings. Then, check the screen time.

Have you changed your battery, recently? I think it is worth changing it if it reached 79%.

I’ve noticed that 13.1.2 has brought out more bugs than 13.1.1 at least for me.

As for helping with battery life. Turn off screentime. That is a major battery hog more so than background app refresh.

I got a notification on my phone about the update just wondering if it is still worth it

No keep 13.1.1. The 13.1.2 has a couple bad bugs which include horrible Bluetooth performance and dropped calls.

Right now I’m on 12.4.1 and the new update is 13.1.2
So I guess the question is should I update to 13.1.2

No one can really say what it will be like for you on your device. There are plenty of threads here about iOS 13.1.2 to see what different experiences are like and they they can certainly differ.

If you do do it let me know. I’m on 12.4.1 on my 7 and it’s working perfectly. I don’t want to give that up. There is no going back. I usually wait till about January to update major iOS versions. By then it’s usually running pretty smoothly.

I did update to the GM for a few days and noticed my phone getting super hot with light usage. That freaked me out enough for me to downgrade and enjoy my bug free 12.4.1. Maybe things are better now but I’m not taking my chances. Just google 13.1.2 battery drain and look around. Lots of people still reporting the phones heating up abnormally and losing 30-40% battery overnight in standby. That’s enough to keep me away! Once those reports die down then I might take the plunge again. Good luck!

13.1.3 is now out and fixes the issues I was referring to this morning. I can confirm Bluetooth headsets and audio is better. But that’s all I’ve been able to truly test out.

Is it worth updating to 13.1.3
Petty much the same comments as mentioned earlier in relation to 13.1.2 would apply. Some people have more issues while others have less. Hard to say what things will be like on your device for you.
