Just got off the phone with Apple support for over an hour and a half. When I upgraded to iOS 13.1.3 Apple Music on my iPhone XS Max stopped working correctly no downloads, instant crashing when trying to play anything on the Song list and it is not syncing correctly. In order to try for a fix I even did a reset. It made no difference. The support person told me there are wide spread problems with Apple Music and it’s patching had been escalated to a very high Priority. So if you are having problems don’t waste your time trying to fix it just wait for iOS 13.1.4 or whatever.

iOS 13 has been the most problematic OS I have ever used and I have been around since iOS 5.

Yes indeed however it did not fix Apple Music. I didn’t really expect it to. Apple Support said Apple is still working on a fix as of Monday. Incidentally I checked Apple Music on my old iPad Air. It was updated for the last time with 12.4.1. It’s Apple Music is not working any better now than it does on the iPhone XS-Max. It seems to me the problem is in syncing, and Cloud storage.

I've been left with duplicates of every playlist I have and am unable to share any playlist via messages, email, any medium actually.

Argh, it just seems to be getting worse. I thought Apple Music had settled down in to pretty predictable behaviour and a reliable service on macOS. But with the new Music app, it seems to be a bag of spanners again with stuff not uploading to the cloud and not synching across devices. The app also seems to hang at times with airplay stopping working and the only option being to force quit it.
