Now that it has roughly been 24 hours since the release of the second major update to iOS 13, how is everyone's battery life doing? Have you noticed an increase or decrease in battery life since installing iOS 13.1? Let me know in the poll as well as the comments!

Mine's not as good but I have a 7+. I just replaced the battery after three years. It's better than before but not like it was when new. iOS has gotten bigger so more overhead without the efficiency improvements of a newer CPU.

I don't know if it's 13.1 or just some cycles on the phone, but my phone is finally starting to show some really good battery life. now.

On a 7plus here and after installing iOS13 I've gone from charging once a day to 2 or 3 times a day..... not happy. Bringing battery bank with me everywhere now 😡

Posted this in a different thread on Monday:

Thought it had got better with 13.1.1 but my XS Max has been off the charger for just over an hour and a half and it’s down to 84%, seems to be dropping every five minutes. Done nothing except a bit of Safari and Twitter on wifi, Bluetooth switched off with my screen at pretty much the lowest...

Updated to 13.1.2 after this and it's vastly improved. Phone came off the charger at 07:20, it's still showing as 100% at 11:45. Granted, I'm in the office so I've not been using it much but recently I've been dropping down to the low 90s by lunchtime with the same usage so I'm happy for now.

Good to hear. Mine is on the charger most of the time at the office too but you do notice battery life better if it's on the charger a lot more as it should stay pretty close to 100% most of the time.

My 7+ battery drains a lot faster after the updates (currently on 13.1.2). It requires charging multiple times a day as opposed to once or twice. It also gets pretty hot at times during use. Restarting it helps somewhat but it soon starts again. My guess is that it's either indexing and whatnot after the update or possibly some app that's going nuts in the background.

Home in an hour and it's only dropped down to 98%. Can't wait for the next update to make it **** again ;)

I have a 8+ and my battery is at 93% youtube is using 29% of my battery. But my phone's battery is still draining fast and I have to recharge at least once a day after starting out at 100%. At work I check facebook, reddit and twitter but not enough to drain the battery down to 70 percent by 4:00.

Ok its possibly a bit early to be sure - but I feel like iOS13.1.3 has improved battery life on my iphone7+ to what it was under iOS12. Anyone else noticing same ?

There is a definite dip in battery life. My iPhone xs max which used to reach 50% at the end of the day with location services mode is now 15% by 7:00PM with low power mode on , location services off and dark mode (supposed to save battery life too) and black wallpaper .No amounts of resets , reinstalls with iTunes has fixed this problem .Tried iOS 13.2.1 and it was worse so did a clean reinstall back to 13.1.2
