Hello, everyone. Yesterday I upgraded from iOS v13.3 to v13.3.1. Since then I've had issues with LTE/cellular connectivity, necessitating device reboot. iPhone XS. AT&T. Forums here contain numerous posts about XS + LTE issues. My connectivity good for the past few iOS updates but, now, problems again!

Someone else here experiencing problems with LTE/cellular connectivity? Please give hardware details, software details, carrier details. Thank you!

I have been missing calls since 13.3.1 on my iPhone 7. People ring me and it goes straight to message bank. I took my 7 to an Apple store and was advised that 13.3.1 is the problem and lots of people are experiencing it, hopefully a software fix is coming very soon. The only two options I was given were 1 reset the phone and setup as a new iPhone, or 2 reset all settings. I did the second option and it seems to have helped reduce the number of missed calls I’m with Telstra in Australia

I had the same issue after updating to 13.3.1
i never face it before, but after updating to 13.3.1 i get a no services multiple times during the day.
and every time i need to toggle on airplane mode then off to solve the issue.

wow! i came here not thinking i'd see anything related to this issue, but here it is.

i have an iPhone XS that recently, over the past month, has had a lot of LTE/voice signal issues. in places where i would normally have service, i get zero bars and zero LTE data. this has been most notable using Siri and wireless CarPlay where i can't get directions (using Hey Siri) due to no internet access. i didn't have this problem until recently.

i know that they are different phones, but my wife's iPhone 11 consistently has stronger signal than i have. there are times where i have had zero bars and she has two bars (both ATT) and getting fast data access.

i went to the Apple store today and diagnostics didn't come up with anything. they suggested the only thing to be done beyond "reset network settings" and DFU restoring the phone and setting up as new (tried both) is to get a new phone out of warranty...i may pursue this option if my credit card company approves my extended warranty request (i got a $549 +tax replacement cost from the Apple Store).

yet, i now am back to being suspicious that this is an iOS 13.3.1 issue. i can't recall when my issues began, but they did around the time i upgraded to 13.3.1

prior to the past month, i've never had any real concern about cellular signal with my XS.

I've been onto AppleCare and into two Apple store visits, and diagnostics still hasn't found anything. The only way I found to fix the problem was to DFU the iPhone 7 and set it up as a new phone. I tried resetting all settings, but that was unsuccessful. In the 2 days since I did the restore, everything has been working much better. I haven't even had to turn the phone on and off a few times a day just to avoid apps seizing up or crashing, and total connectivity loss!

glad you found something that works for you. not sure if my problem is related, but the DFU reset didn't fix my problem. hoping a new phone will, but i need to wait on my credit card company before moving on that one. my phone works 90%+ of the time...but it's that small fraction that is annoying since it used to work fine in those lower signal areas.

Actually if anything, 13.4 is giving cellular data issues now. First time it happened on my PM. Used to happen occasionally on my XS Max. Had to toggle airplane to fix. Saw some posts from others too in the 13.4 thread.

My connection problems are back, phone calls not ringing, going straight to message bank and apps crashing already. Hoping for a software fix soon!

oh man. i'm sorry to hear this...

i'm still waiting to hear back from my credit card company about paying for my replacement XS.

i realized should follow-up here. i ended up replacing the XS with an 11 Pro, and while i wasn't able to compare them side by side, i definitely now have signal again in places where the XS was failing recently. still not sure if it was a software issue. i did talk to a friend who knows something about the engineering side of things. he said that i was entirely possible that the reception diminished in time on the XS due to a hardware issue. he speculated that the adhesives holding things together could have caused things to shift, slightly affecting antenna sensitivity.

anyway, now with the shelter-in-place, i don't have any needs to go to lower signal areas, but in the few cases where i was able to return to places where i had lost signal with the XS in January/February, the 11 Pro was able to hold a data (LTE) signal.
