This is a thread dedicated to the sharing of battery life across all iOS 13 and iPadOS devices. How has your battery life been so far on iOS 13? Have you noticed an increase or decrease in overall battery life or SOT? Personally I have not noticed any real fluctuations in battery life. I'm curious to see how the rest of you all's devices are holding up. How has battery life changed on those who have iPhones with OLED displays? Have you noticed an improvement in battery life? Let me know if you've experienced better or worse battery life since installing iOS 13 or iPadOS on your devices. Thanks and have a great day!

Battery life has been more or less the same in my iPad Pro and in my iPhone XR. Running betas since July.

Will update to normal release today.

I am also interested in how is the battery life with 13.1 especially on iPhone 8.
I am on 12.4.1 and I do enjoy a great battery life. Do you recommend to update?

iPhone XS. I do not have any noticeable difference in battery life after updating to iOS 13 or iOS 13.1. I was previous one iOS 12.4.1

I would recommend updating to 13.1. I did yesterday and I have experienced only a small number of bugs. However, if you use the mail app, you may want to hold off on updating for now. It still has a few bugs that will need to be ironed out in future releases.

I just jumped from 11 to 13, and my iPhone 8 battery is getting crushed. Woke up at 5:30 with a fully charged phone, down to 36% by 10:45 AM doing nothing special. Normally I get to 5 PM with about 15% and regular usage. To be fair, I think I enabled cloud iMessage, so my phone may have been chewing through batteries while uploading a legion of photo attachments. We’ll see tomorrow. I’m also receiving my new 11 Pro today, so it’ll be a good test. Anyone else getting their battery pummeled?

I would recommend restoring your iPhone through iTunes with iOS 13.1. That should get you back to your regular battery life. Just be sure you already have a backup of all your important files!!

iOS 13 has less battery life than iOS 12. I always clean restore, so when comparing a clean restore of iOS 12, iOS 13 has about an hour less screen on time.

13.0 was not as good as 12.4.1 for me but 13.1 fix that and now it feels more or less the same as iOS 12 on my XS Max and iPad air 3.

So, at the end can we conclude that ios 13.0 has worse battery life than 12.4.1, but 13.1 fix that or both 13/13.1 have worse battery life than 12.4.1?

Well, I have my brand new iPhone 11 Pro. All syncing and updating happened last night. Woke up this morning at 5:30 to a fully charged phone. By 9:30 AM today this fabulous new phone with its huge new battery was down to a 63% charge. Wtf?!

Is the battery on 13.1.1 still worse than 12.4.1 on iPhone 8? Someone?
I would say it depends. For me, I have noticed no discernible difference. However, there are a number of users who have reported significantly worse or better battery life. It just depends. I would recommend downloading the update, testing it out, and then if you don’t like it, you can always revert to iOS 12.4.1 assuming that Apple is still signing the update.

I find 13.1.1 way worse than 13 on my 11 Pro. It’s pretty drastic, I kept raving about the battery when I first got the phone.

I would take it off the charger around 8am and with pretty heavy usage at work I would be at 75-80% by 3pM. Since 13.1.1 I’m around 55-60 at that same time now. Just like my XS was.

I noticed issues on my 7+ with iOS 13 and 13.1 but things seem stable with 13.1.1. It may be that indexing period or it may be due to me getting rid of about 70% of my consolidated inbox. Mail was using about 65% of my battery. Now it's using 10%. I don't think that I've ever really noticed issues with the Mini 5 as the battery is so big for device size.

So it definitely used more battery on my phone but seems about the same now.

Thought it had got better with 13.1.1 but my XS Max has been off the charger for just over an hour and a half and it’s down to 84%, seems to be dropping every five minutes. Done nothing except a bit of Safari and Twitter on wifi, Bluetooth switched off with my screen at pretty much the lowest possible brightness... this is horrendous.

I really don’t want to upgrade, it was perfect before 13

Try a restore with iTunes. That could help fix the issue.

iPhone 8+ battery seems the same. iPad Pro 10.5 WiFi only, worse. Both running 13.1.2. Checked all settings suggested online. Some say it can take days for a major update to index a device. iPad tonight went from 96% to 51% in three hours of browsing, YouTube, and a couple of simple games. Before it would have been 96% to about 75% for the same activity.

I would only say to leave it plugged in as much as you can or stagger the upgrades on devices so that you have one normal device and one that’s indexing. I’m on the other side and battery life feels normal.

I've installed the iOS 13 on my iPhone X and I haven't noticed any difference in the battery life yet.

Significantly worse than 12.4 on my 6S, but better on my iPad.

The beta of 13.1 seemed fine but once the public release came out my phone went to crap. Used to make it to the end of the day over 60% no problem, now the same routine puts me around 25-30%. The supposed “fix” in 13.1.1 made no discernible difference.
