iOS 13 Darkmode Delayed Rumor

I was watching Everything Apple Pro's You Tube Channel last night, he had just released a new video and his sources are saying Dark Mode will most likely not launch with the first version of iOS13 or may not even come out with iOS13 due to unforeseen delays and issues.

If this is true, I am totally losing faith in Apple lol. Android has had this for years and if Apple can not figure out how to get it to work in iOS, then they need to hire all new people lol.

It was just released for Facebook Messenger (By Facebook) and I really like it, especially at night, it is so much easier on my eyes.

I have no desire to ever use it on my Mac, but on a phone its a really nice feature.

So maybe you should just ignore threads about it then. If you don’t use it or like it, you’re the only one to blame for getting worked up over it.

I love dark modes and am disappointed in the delay. Hopefully it won’t be too long after IOS 13 releases.

Apple is increasingly becoming less Apple, these delays are unacceptable if true. What's the point of having an OLED if you don't give us an option to utilize it? Dark mode is awesome and I simply can't understand why Apple hasn't given it to us yet. Ridiculous really.

We cant even get AOD which to me at this point is ridiculous.

it's a rumor. why not wait until ios 13 to gripe about it (if dark mode isn't there?). and how is apple 'less apple'? according to what reference? your opinion? as if apple (or any corporation for that matter) is responsible to you personally, to live up to your idea of who & what they are supposed to be... o_O
 
I also don't understand why people want dark mode. I've tried it several times on my Mac and turn it off quickly.

i've had it on my mac since it first showed up in beta, and it now seems like the right way to view things. it's great, at least, that apple, notorious for not giving us choices, gives us a choice.

am looking forward to it on the phone; smart invert fails, in too many places....

...and the list goes on. I wouldn't call him a legit source at all, it's mostly clickbait. That delayed dark mode rumor comes from a guy from Twitter. It's not even *his* source, the guy just tweeted it. The only thing I watch EAP for is when he goes through the changes in new betas and that's it. Unfortunately many people believe everything he says. I remember a few years ago a guy I knew was 100% convinced that the next iPhone will have a projector that projects the keyboard on a table because he saw that on his channel and there was no way I could convince him that it's total bs.

Even worse the jailbreak community has had it working in iOS for years lol. If this turns out to be true then Apple is becoming a huge joke, something is definitely wrong over there

Dark mode isn't just about looks, it's to help you avoid staring into a bright blue light. It's also going to be more useful on the phone (for most people) than on the computer, because people normally use their computers in a well-lit room, while that may not be true for phones. Besides, it's optional. If you prefer the standard look, as most probably will, then no problem.
 
As @arn noted, the rumor comes from a source that is relatively new to Apple rumors (Max Weinbach). He may have good sources, but we won't know until his claims are verifiable.

If you watched the session on implementing dark mode on the Mac from WWDC 2018, you'll realize its not as simple as it sounds to implement this. It's much easier on an app basis than it is on a global basis. So it would be no surprise if this takes longer to implement than hoped.

I use Twitter's dark mode all the time on my iPhone and I've started using Outlook.com's implementation on my PC. It definitely can relieve some of the strain of a bright screen. And its invaluable at night. So, I will be happy to use it on my iPhone globally. Hopefully it will come with a sunset - sunrise feature to switch modes automatically, or even an ambient light sensor, much like the Books app does.

Bingo! He doesn't know anything. Can't stand his so called "sources" nonsense. He just does it for the hits on his videos and some how people buy into it.

Dark mode is coming.. and that is all. Period! And it doesn't take some "insider source" aka twitter/youtube poster to figure this out.
