iPhone iOS 13: #HashtagImages blocked in cellular with no way to disable? Bug?

Anyone have this issue on iOS 13 of no gif use in texting while on cellular? Know how to fix it?

I was texting on my new iPhone 11 Pro Max and got a popup about #HashtagImages. I immediately dismissed it because I wanted to finish my text, but did not realize the headache that erupted as a result.

Basically, it shuts off the use of gifs when on cellular. I thought I could simply go into cellular and disable it, but #hashtagimages is not there. This might be a iOS 13 issue? Anyone had the same issue? Went so far as restoring from a previous backup and when prompted, I did not hit okay but clicked settings. Still no #hashtagimages option. Has anyone had this issue? Know how to resolve it? Help, I need my gifs back!

Try this. Go to Messages and see if the red search icon is available. If not, enable it and see if that works.

I’m not really sure what you are trying to share. We have already noted that choosing a gif in #images is the problem. If it was not available in the message app bar, we wouldn’t even be able to use it as a messaging app.

Have you figured this out yet? I’ve been trying to for days... #images doesn’t even show in my settings anywhere but I’m able to use it through wifi, not cellular..

Sadly, still no solution! I was working with Apple but they have since not contacted me and I haven’t followed up since I haven’t had the time. Still doing it for me as well.
