iOS 13 - no longer need to import into Photos app

I really hope this is true. I've been wanting the ability to import raw files from an SD card directly into the Lightroom app. Sounds like this may finally be possible.

I gave up on Apple's approach to photography a long time ago. For any change to be an improvement would require Apple to give up control and shift its focus from indiscriminate shooters who have chaos for an image library to photographers like the ones that used to use Aperture.

Someone please let me know how it went a year from now.
