Is Split Keyboard gone in iOS 13, or is does it remain an option alongside the new Floating Keyboard?

I use split keyboard about 80% of the time on my 10.5" iPad Pro, and have been using it ever since the iPad 4 back in 2013.. would be a huge blow to me if they kiboshed it. It's the most logical and quickest input method when holding a large device with two hands. Floating (thumb-based hunt and peck while wasting your entire other hand⁈ wtf?) cannot possibly compare!

Yeah, can we have some details? Screenshots? The few iOS 13 articles I've found detailing the Floating Keyboard don't show the Split option, and at least one suggests it's been removed.

Splittable keyboard has been there forever. Enable it in Settings → Keyboard, and then on the software keyboard, either long press or drag up on the button on the bottom right (keyboard with a down arrow), and the keyboard will split itself.

Back in like, iOS 6 or maybe even iOS 5, you had to “peel” the keyboard apart from the center, which was kind of fun. No idea when they changed that invocation method but apparently sometime before iOS 12.

This is different from the floating keyboard introduced to iPadOS/iOS 13. But both are meant for when you need to type while standing/holding the iPad. Split keyboard works well in landscape while gripping the device with two hands at the edges, while the floating keyboard is ideal when you’re resting the iPad in one palm, and using your other hand (or Apple Pencil) freely for input.

.

I don't think you understand that we're asking specifically about whether it's in iOS 13. I know how to use and enable it in iOS 12 (which is what the article you linked to covers). The question is whether that is still applicable in iOS 13. I don't have the beta, so I'm relying on those who do to verify this. Can you?

It works the same way in iOS 13 as it did in 12. Long press and choose split or drag up on they keyboard button.

Ah I found it. From the Apple page:

‘Note: The split keyboard option is not available on iPad Pro (12.9-inch)’

That’s why it’s not working, not sure why the limitation on 12.9 only though. That’s annoying. Thanks for the info.
