I've lost the ability to customize widgets on the today view area of iOS. The screen that is accessible by swiping down and right on the home screen. Wasn't there a "customize" or "edit" button at the very bottom of this?

I've rebooted and there is not this button there anymore. Also, long pressing on the widgets in the today view doesn't cause them to shake so I can rearrange them (it does on my iPad). Am I missing some obvious new way to rearrange widgets in today view on the iPhone? Thanks

If you long press a ‘new style’ widget and tap edit Home Screen they’ll shake. If it’s an old style widget, do the same thing (ie, get icons to shake, perhaps by long pressing a Home Screen icon) - then in both cases scroll to the very bottom of the today screen and there should be a customise button.

you can freely move the new style widgets around, but you’re limited to the old way with the older ones. Also, the older ones can only stack together underneath the newer ones. Presumably until the devs of the apps catch up.

Yep, actually I'd tried to do both those routes already. Get them shaking then scroll to the bottom of the today view. My "edit" button isn't there to rearrange them. It has simply disappeared. Wth

Instead of first swiping down to go to Notification Center and then swiping right to go to Today View, simply go to your unlocked Home Screen and swipe right to access Today View from there. There you should be able to use the "Edit" button at the bottom or Haptic Touch (long press) one of the widgets and go into wiggle/edit mode that way. At that point for new widgets you can use the '+' button at the top right and for old widgets you can use the "Customize" button at the bottom.

Not sure why they made the Today View work differently when accessed from different locations. It also seems that tapping the top of the screen (on the status bar) to fast scroll to the top similarly only works in one Today View, but not another for some reason.
