how do i see if there is a newer version of an app available? before 14.2 you swiped down at the profile page in the appstore / account

That seems to work the same way in iOS 14.2.

Just go to “Apps” app, and click on your Pic or Emoji on the upper right corner. Once that page opens, just press and pull down on your name or Emoji to refresh to see what updates are pending.

This works for iPhone X and higher which has not changed with any recent iOS updates. Not sure about iPhone 8’s and prior versions.
