I have a 2020 iphone SE with iOS 14.3.

Today I got a message on the opening screen asking if I wanted to upgrade "REMINDERS".

I've never heard of this app or used it so I deleted it.

Where did this app come from - unbidden - and is it useful at all?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes, "reminders" - fixed it - thank you. It was obtrusive about wanting to be upgraded; I took it as a paid app that I hadn't installed, and deleted it because of that reminder. I detest unbidden ads.

It sounds like it's related to the built-in Apple Reminders app, similar to Calendar (or Clock, or various other built-in apps). You can find out more about it here:
