I've never understood one aspect of the all the controversies surrounding the new tracking policies in 14.5: can't companies such as FB just make it mandatory for continued use of their apps? i.e. we currently have to agree to whatever terms and conditions now, so if we choose to "ask not to track", can't companies refuse to let us use their apps?

I’m certain apple won’t allow this so any mandatory type of suggestion and the app wouldn’t pass the AppStore review.

They could, but it won't be available in Apple's APP store. They would have to distribute on their own - similar to what fortnight is going through.

And I would not be using the APP.
