I experience choppy movie playback on some HD movies (iTune bought movies), does not seem so bad on 4K movies. It is very noticeable on Hot Shots 2 (19:00 minutes in) where camera is moving. This does not seem so bad in Netflix or other App streaming services. But I have not tested it enough yet. Seems that when Apple fixed the screen flicker/green tint issue, might have introduced some impact on the frame rate.

I have an iPhone 12 mini. Please anyone, test this to see if you’re experiencing the same choppy/stutter video playback. When I play the exact same movie and scene on my iPad Pro, it all runs smoothly. So there is something strange going on.

Really, no one seeing this? Just watched (tried to) “Boss Level”, but it’s a jittery mess. Something is really wrong with the frame rate. As if 24fps wasn’t bad enough, it just got worse.

Ok . As this was driving me crazy as every 24fps video material on YouTube, Disney+ and AppleTV+ was more jittery than normal, also compared to my other devices, I did a full DFU.

Cleaned everything, it didn’t help. I remember raising the same issue on iPhone XS when that received an update fixing some screen issues. Not many others where seeing this, but it got fixed.

So hoping for a future update that fixes this, but it’s really weird that no others have reported or seeing this.
