IOS 14 Beta and Apple Watch Question

I have not yet tried the IOS 14 Beta - might when the Public Beta is released - and I have an Apple Watch question.
I have two Series 5 AW (one GPS and GPS+LTE) that I switch between. Question is do I have to upgrade the Watches to the WatchOS 7 Beta if I install the IOS 14 Beta?

No. I have my Series 4 AW (GPS) on WatchOS 6, while my connected iPhone 8 is on iOS 14. I have not had any issues.

Nope. I’m on the 14 Beta and my 1st gen watch is still on watchOS 4.
