Stupid question. Has anyone only upgraded their iPhone to iOS 14 beta and keeping their watchOS at version 6? Are they compatible and do they sync fine? I don’t want to update the watch cuz if there is something wrong it would be a headache to fix.
Thanks!

Faces on iOS show up with no complications or blank in many but not all. I havent tried to change any as I'm weary that it would sync and reset the watch setup causing me to need to reset them all. Anyone else seeing this?

I am running into somewhat similar issue as well. iPhone XS Max, iOS 14 Beta 4 paired to Apple Watch 4 with v6.2.8. Can't update to Watch v7 beta, not a developer. Been waiting on the public 7 beta....

In the Watch app on the XS, the only complications that can be chosen for a watch face are the Apple ones (and it's missing the date complication, weird). The other apps I have installed on the watch show up under the 'Complications' option (Dark Sky, AutoSleep, Autowake and 3 others), but I can't choose them as a complication in a watch face.

The apps do work if selected though when pressing the crown.

Any thoughts? Reset/re-pair the watch (haven't tried).

And....for the record, just did the un-pair process. Re-paired as a new watch. Same issue. No complications can be set other than the Apple default complications, the others don't show up unless I go to all the apps (via crown push). I can set those 3rd party apps into the dock, and they run fine.....

It has been that way since beta 1. I think so many people are used to setting complications through the phone. And when they seemingly disappeared and people couldn’t figure out how to add their third party apps back they panicked, and the answer was always on their wrist.

Thanks for the reply. So this is normal for now for 3rd party complications on the watch face. Bummer.

Come on Watch OS 7 public beta...
