I don't understand why I can't put widgets on the default home page in portrait mode on the iPad? You can do it on the iPhone on a much smaller screen!
There's much more real estate on the iPad and you can only get them in landscape mode with the Today page on the left. Also, there's no App Library page. I use mine in portrait (locked) "reading mode" in bed a lot due to my resting positions so it doesn't keep rotating every time I tilt the device.
This is really disappointing...
