Are the new notes updates in iOS 14 compatible with the Notes app in Catalina or do they require you to upgrade to MacOS 11? I use Apple Notes for work and having to upgrade on the Mac might force me to use a different app or not to upgrade to iOS 14, so I'm curious.

It looks like notes created on an iOS 14 device are compatible with macOS Catalina.

In the screenshots below I have created a note on my iPad Pro (first generation) running the first public beta of iOS 14 and it syncs perfectly over to my late 2013 iMac running macOS Catalina (10.15.5).

Awesome. Good to know. That’s a relief!

Notes workS fine with Mojave.

Thanks, good to know. I just didn’ t want the same debacle like stupidly updating Reminders in v13 and having them requiring Catalina.
Still pissed off about that blunder.
