What's the prognosis for older devices like the Air 2 and the 6S for running iOS 14? I have both these devices running 13.x but fear upgrading as Apple might neuter them like in past experience. Obviously the battery being even more chewed by the OS and these iOS Dashboard widgets has me worried. Then there's sluggish performance compared to 13. What are people's thoughts on whether to upgrade or stay with 13?

This is my experience on my iPhone 8.

My 6S is running noticeably smoother and with longer battery on 14 than on any iteration of 13. Phone feels fresh again.

My 6s runs as fast on ios 14 too, same battery runtime as well, but the keyboard feels a bit slower so far.

On iPad Pro 9,7 seems that the animations are slower. i don’t mean that they lag as they are fluid, but seems that they reduce the speed. On the other hand I don’t see any benefit of having it coming from 13. Boring update for iPad ...
