I will have to say, I downloaded iOS14 PB on my daily iPhone 11 Pro Max the day it released, and I cant get over how stable this first version is. It was so stable I went ahead and installed it on my ipad as well. I do not have back up devices, both are daily use items. iOS13 PB had some flaws at first and I was expecting 14 PB to have some as well, but so far every app I have used works very well and I have seen really no issues except for the Weather Widget once in a while displaying as blank and of course setting it to "Location Based" only shows Cuppertino still lol.

Done exactly the same thing. 😂
installed pb on my iPhone first, then iPadOS 14 few days ago.

Loving iOS 14, IPadOS 14 not so much, nothing really there to get excited about.

Rock solid at the moment.

Yeah the iPad OS 14 is pretty lame, I hate that you cant move Widgets to the main screen but the iPhone is flawless and as 3rd party apps start to support Widgets, we will get all kinds of cool stuff.

I had developer beta 1 and was shocked how stable it was. I remember the days where you don't want anything before beta3.

13 PB v1 was not great, so I was leary about doing it again, but the thrill of something new made me do it lol. Yeah this was very polished right out of the gate.

iOS 14 DB 1 is very close to iOS 13.5.1. Even battery life is very similar. There are very very few bugs. It is better than what most people would allow for their GM OS.

Very stable for me on my 11 pro, but the battery life isn’t great. Hoping they get that figured out in the next couple of updates.

Just downgrading now...would agree that it performs very well except for 2 apps I need / use regularly...so, will wait until there is support for those!

iOS 14 Beta 3 isn't stable for me though. Might have to DFU or wait for DB4.

Thinking about giving the public beta a try. I use iCloud to back up my iPhone 11. If I decide to come back to iOS 13 can I do that using an iCloud backup?

No you can’t, iCloud backups constantly replace themselves and you cannot restore a backup of a device running iOS 14 onto a device running iOS 13. You’d want to archive a backup using iTunes on a Mac or pc before installing the beta if you’re worried about data loss

Unless you perhaps make disable iCloud backups when you update to an iOS 14 beta, effectively leaving the last iOS 13 one there that should be available to use.

I’ve been using PB 4 on my XS as my daily driver. No big bugs found so far. It’s pretty stable. Even my stock trading and banking apps work. Wonderful! Battery seems the same with iOS 13 too. Only some widgets like calendar and weather keep giving me blank information. So I have removed those widgets for the time being.
