Just like many of you, I installed iOS 14 the night of it being released and a day after using it I noticed the following issues and or changes...

1. When I'm on a phone call and receive an iMessage or text message I am not hearing the sound notification.

2. When I'm on a phone call and typing a message I cannot hear the keyboard clicks.

3. If I got send a picture, screenshot, website link, etc the people that I have conversations with aren't showing up. Instead, I have to click on messages and select the person in my contacts.

4. It happens more often than not but when I close out of the messages app and open up a message the keyboard or memojis don't show up right away. Also, when I close out and open messages back up the search doesn't appear until I move down the screen.

Anyone else experiencing these issues or have any ideas on fixes? I did everything besides restore to factory settings

Where’s the ability to select recent conversations? I know people who have that option after installing iOS 14.
How can there be so many issues with other phones when we are downloading the same software.

I struggle typing as the phones doesn’t recognise certain letter keys on the right hand side I either have to turn my phone landscape or use Siri to type.

I’m experiencing similar issues with iPhone SE (2016) after iOS 14 and 14.1 updates. Ghost touches, scroll stuttering, unresponsive touches, and areas activated near my touch but not close enough to be a miss. For example, typing has become nearly impossible. I turned off 3rd party keyboards and swipe and it seems to have helped eliminate ghost touches and scroll stutter. I’m still experiencing keyboard typing issues. Typing this message was an exercise in frustration.

It’s even worse on iOS 14.2 don’t do it haha they need to sort this out soon. It takes ages to scroll through certain apps.
iOS 14.2 says it fixes these issues but clearly not. I really wish the Apple shop stores were open.

My current issue with iOS 14.1 is that other storage is taking up WAY more then it should. 38GB!! That’s with a clean OS not restored from backup! 😕 I sometimes get the keyboard lag issue as well. What the heck happened to iOS 14? This is the buggiest release ever!

Does anyone else have this problem?? the storage bar is gray

IOS 14 is a work in progress. This is evident by the abundance of errors, problems, etc. etc. etc.
But after a few updates things will work better
It’s hard to believe with all the beta testing both developer and public that iOS 14 needs updates

That pretty much applies to any iOS version or really any OS/software.

Not sure if you found the fix for this yet, but I had the same problem and someone on here told me to go to settings - Siri and search - messages and make sure the 2 options under “in messages” are on.
