I am using iPhone X. Since the day I upgraded to iOS 15, there has been a constant lag and lag in system animations. For example, when I pull up from the bottom to exit an application, the exit animation sometimes gets stuck. This is very frustrating and shouldn't happen on a device like the iPhone X. Even when scrolling on the main page, millisecond stutters occur sometimes. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. After 15.3, these animation stutters increased even more and peaked at 15.4.

My iPhone X with a fresh battery from Apple works just as well if not better as any version of iOS 14.. What's your battery capacity reading?

My battery health is 100%. I don't think it has anything to do with the battery. This is a problem with iOS 15. My brother's XS has similar animation issues.

It's not just your iPhone X. I have a 13 Pro Max and am experiencing this as well. Makes me wonder why I opted for the 120 Hz (ProMotion) display if it's going to stutter almost every time I go back to home or bring up the multi-tasking view.

Same phone and can confirm. Happens to me too. Makes me wonder why Apple fanboys make fun of Android when IOS is not perfect.

Is it for all apps or only certain apps? How bad is the stutter?

I ask because I am running iOS 15.4 on my 13 Pro Max and the animations are smooth. I recently did a clean install on my 13 Pro Max to resolve a different issue.

I don’t doubt you are experiencing the stutter issue. An app you installed might be causing the stutter issue. Maybe an installed widget might be causing the issue.

Since iOS 15 launched I had this animation problem but most severely in safari. So I turned on per app accessibility (which happened to come with iOS 15...hmm) and disabled motion in safari. That made it better. But yeah they messed up something in iOS 15 that they're probably not going to bother to fix.

Basically the glitches I get involve just the lock screen when doing quick reply. Always a bad noticeable stutter.

I guess Apple will never fix these animation problems. It's like we're using an iPhone 4S. I saw the last animation hangs on iPhone 4S. It was because I had iOS 9 installed. Way more powerful than it, the iPhone X is comically grappling with animation stuttering in iOS 15. Apple really needs to review these software teams. I suspect that they only drink coffee and tea in the office until the evening. Scott Forstall, you are missed.

That's how they get people to upgrade to the "latest and greatest".

I have a regular iPhone 13 128 GB that i bought about a month ago, it came on iOS 15.3 and I upgraded it to 15.4.1 the same day, am experiencing stutters sometimes while scrolling Twitter, rarely during going home especially with the twitter app, and some in reddit, very occasional in Safari, PUBG mobile runs smoother than butter without any lags, waiting for 15.5 to do some miracles :/ Odd thing is that the exact same issue is happening with my iPad Mini 5, like the EXACT same thing, in the exact same app in the exact same apps, best guess its a OS optimization issue. Also 1 thing i didnt like about the iPhone 13 was luminence noise in photos, its a bit too much for my taste.
