As a follow-up to this thread which applies to 14.3, the issue remains on iOS 15. I had to resort to disabling FIND MY IPHONE completely.

However, I misplaced my iPhone the other day and I subsequently found it, fortunately. I then went to enable FIND MY IPHONE.

SYSTEM SERVICES shows a purple icon next to it and the Location arrow toggles between solid and transparent after I enabled it.

I've had my iPhone on for 15 minutes and the GPS hasn't once turned off. I have an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar early in the week.

I believe most people who may have poor battery life are unaware Location Services — FIND MY IPHONE is working in the background continuously because they don't have the notifications enabled for the SYSTEM SERVICES.

I was hoping this would be fixed in iOS 15 but at least with my iPhone, it's not.

On another note, does anyone know if your credit cards et al in your WALLET and your HEALTH DATA like covid vaccination info also backed up/recovered? I know in the past, I had to manually enter one by one each credit card and HEALTH DATA wasn't backed up.

I have the same issue with Find my IPhone always on with an iPhone 13 pro but it's not draining the battery

Well, I had my battery replaced by Apple under warranty as it kept draining fast. Otherwise it would've cost me about $90 Canadian. Apple also replaced the speaker too.

I have disabled location services completely and Apple is hoping the new battery won't drain fast. They examined my settings and phone and don't know why this was happening but if it happens again, it will be on my dime.

This makes me anxious. Nobody knows if it's a hardware issue like the CPU working too hard or an OS issue.

Has anyone else gone through what I have?
