I upgraded to 15.2 this morning, but this damn iOS 15 is still buggy. I’m still experiencing poor recpetion, and increased battery use. Most importantly this phone gets HOT after using it for about 5-10 minutes. I was previously on iOS 14.4 out of the box and I can say I never once felt the phone get hot. Even with routine hot spotting and heavy use, it had strong signal and stayed very cool.

I’ve also lost 1% point of battery health in the last few days since I upgraded to iOS 15.

Really disappointed with this damn thing.

Here’s to iOS 15.3 which I hope will begin beta testing tommorow ??

No issues here other than minor, occasional glitches. But I have an iphone 13 Pro Max and M1 iPad Pro so I don’t know what older devices may be experiencing. No battery or heating issues.

It's pathetic! iPhone 13 Pro. I have my top bar (wifi, time, etc.) rotate landscape and back when opening apps sometimes, PHOTOS thumbnails are low res, touch sometimes is finicky. Apple has gone down the toilet as far as QA goes.

so that’s what I was seeing! I thought I was going crazy that I noticed the thumbnails looking blurrier than I remember

I must say I was looking forward to trying the beta of 15.2 it was beta 2 and I had installed it one morning.

It wasn't until later in the afternoon/evening that I began to use Apple Music and Apple maps for directions which I regularly did before and never had any issues at all with the phone getting hot or battery draining especially when it was plugged in and charging in the car.

This time however I found the phone was charging incredibly slowly the phone was really hot and it was actually hot to touch which made me quickly realise I may be made a mistake installing the beta.

The next few days proved quite different after reinstalling 15.1 thanks for the help of this community this is the first time I have ever had any issues with battery life and overheating at all in iOS. I am a little hesitant to now update to 15.2 now that the public release is out I am pretty sure looking at the notes that this Apple Music bug using too much CPU is still present and a pretty big issue.

I noticed that my Apple Watch has an update which I'm hopeful that installing that will have no bearing on the remaining on 15.1.1 because at this time I have no intention of installing 15.2 whilst this Apple Music bug is still present it must be a really tricky bug to fix.

I’m getting all sorts of sporadic volume bugs in 15.1.1 but it’s got to be more tolerable than excessive battery drain and overheating.

15.2 Bluetooth is a mess. Wireless CarPlay won’t connect anymore. Phone drops my Polar H10 chest strap after a few seconds. Fitbit won’t sync.

Is there a usual timeframe in which the next 15.x release will come? Days, weeks, months? Random?

It’s December so while a new beta could come out tomorrow, the next probably won’t be until January. So better to stay off of it until then in case of any major issues.

Looks like Apple knows they have problems. Beta came out real fast ?? great news in my book!

I’m experiencing several apps not functioning like they used to after upgrading to 15.2. This is very important to me, as a couple of my most used apps don’t work properly anymore (banking and Google Keep). I regret upgrading.
