Hi Guys,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro Max to 16.3 and now am unable to AirPlay to my Apple TV. The ATV is also on 16.3. I have reset network settings, even factory reset our router. Reset the ATV and still no AirPlay or screen share.

I can only see an old Apple TV (that probably hasn’t been updated in ages). I can connect to the iOS tv remote but not AirPlay/Screen Mirroring

I would suggest you to airplay from a browser that permits airplay:
Brave is one of the few
Please let us know and good luck

It physically doesn’t list them as an AirPlay device. The only AppleTV that is visible is our really old one that we haven’t updated software on in a while. Is no one else experiencing this issue on iOS 16.3?

I have the same iPhone and aTV 4K 1st gen (2017). Both at 16.3.
The OSes have not changed anything in the AirPlay settings for me.
Have you checked all relevant settings on iPhone and esp on aTV?
I have enabled AirPlay without authentication and on local network only.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your reply. I have managed to get it working on our second Apple TV (A1842) 16.2. I will try update to 16.3 and see if it breaks it like the main living room Apple TV. I’ll report back shortly.

This Apple TV now works with 16.3. I’ll try restore the main one and see if that resolved the issue.

Have you also included them in your Home(Kit)?
If I remember correctly, AirPlay2 also demands assignment to home.
Pls send steps and I’ll try that before I restore. Just odd that I didn’t have this issue before iOS 16.3. My wife’s iPhone 11 Pro Max on 16.3 also no longer airplays to that Apple TV.
