iOS 17.0.3 Caps Button Issues?

Has anyone had issues with the keyboard as you type on your phone, and you click the caps button and it turns right back off as you type and you have to press it several times to get it to actually allow you to capitalize a letter? Dang annoying as heck!!
 
The caps button only stays on for 1 letter if you press it once. To make it act as caps lock, you need to tap it twice rapidly in a row.

Its not for caps lock, Its doing it when I for a word press the up arrow to capitalize the first letter and it right away undoes the upper arrow press. I have to press it 3-4 times sometimes for it to keep me able to capitalize a first letter of a word
