iOS 17.0.3 almost bricked my phone. Stared at the Apple logo for 2 hours. Phone completely unresponsive. Then called Apple support. They were useless. Thank goodness I had the iMazing backup app, which gave me an option to reinstall the OS and saved the day!

Since you seem to be in the minority, it’s time for some troubleshooting. Backup your iPhone, restore it as new, and see if the issue persists.

The overheating issue has been identified as an Instagram thing, which their latest update (just got to my phone this morning) fixes. It wasn't an iOS 17 issue or an iPhone 15* issue ... it was Instagram.

50% battery with 2 hours screen on 48 mins off on 15 PM 17.0.3. Top contributors Safari, Spotify and Lock Screen…. 15,13,13 respectively. Is this normal? Shall I do a clean install

I think my battery is draining quicker but I can't be 100% sure. I could be imagining it. No way to tell really. Plus around 17.0.3 release I also turned on 5G. I was going to only use it on 4G but thought why not just use 5G. Maybe the 5G is sucking a bit more battery life.

Battery life is still impressive so I'm happy. We're still early in the release of these phones so it's possible there are still some bugs. If the battery ends up really bad I'll just have Apple replace it.
