iOS 17.0.3 syncing with macOS Sonoma Finder remains stuck at status message - Syncing (Step 2 of 3) - Preparing to Sync. The iPhone is connected by cable to macOS Sonoma running MacBook and syncing of logs is attempted on MacBook.

However, the sync completes without a problem, if the bluetooth is disabled on the iPhone to disconnect the paired Apple Watch. It is also noted that after disabling Bluetooth, the activity monitor item MDCrashReportTool has to be force closed, and then iPhone to be disconnected and reconnected to MacBook (while bluetooth is disabled) to start sync again for completing the sync activity.

We also have this thread discussing this issue and came to a similar workaround. Seems to mostly affect iPhones that are paired to an Apple Watch...
