on my iPhone 13 Pro after 17.0+ updates everything was great
I extensively used physical SIM + eSIM with hotspot from both cards

what I'm trying to say that on 17.0 it just worked as expected, I guess

After update to 17.1 first I lost wifi+bt and nothing helped but full reset
after full reset it worked for 1-2 days

then it lost mobile networks with hard error sign and saying - go to service, which is not possible for me
I updated to 17.1.1 (wifi and lightning still works) - it didn't help

then I went through computer forced reflash which is weird procedure with 7Gb full firmware download but without any settings reset

AND it worked.. for 4 hours, then it lost connectivity to mobile networks again

Now as I had firmware downloaded force reflash was easy and quick and... it DIDN'T help

BUT, I noticed that it sees mobile for about a minute after restart, so that I just removed physical SIM and viola - it found network good

ok, then I installed physical SIM and quickly disabled eSIM, and again - it works

will see how long it will live but it seems to me like a clear 17.1+ issue

Can you please recommend how to file bug to Apple properly and REALLY get support, maybe flash back to 17.0 in some service (I'm in Europe and I don't now if support here is as easy as it is in US)

The problem is also that having computer with me is not easy while traveling, also I'm afraid for my 15 Pro which may brick too when I'll enable second eSIM and I need to do it...

Please, advise

Thank you!

As far as downgrading to iOS 17.0, not possible. Apple stopped signing that version a long time ago. 17.1 is the only previous version still available for downgrade, 17.1.1 is the most recent version

So I had an issue with WiFi calling [on other devices] with iOS 17.1 and 17.2 - using dual SIM.
It appears cleaned up with 17.2b2.

HOWEVER, have you tried to get a new eSIM? (you can request from carrier)

Otherwise, get 17.2b2 - no guarantees.

Bricked means total loss of function for the entire device. Like you can’t turn it on so it’s as useful as a brick. Doesn’t sound like it was bricked. But good luck with your connectivity issues.

Sorry, my understanding of brick is that it cannot connect to networks - it‘s core function

But I will change topic not to confuse anyone

Thank you

that is why I suggested to flash down in service, I‘m pretty confident they can do it

By judging the way your iPhone behaves, it seems defective to me. Have it checked out by Apple. No amount of flashing, upgrading and downgrading will fix this.

@ManuCH No way to do it now, but what is weird - it was a very reliable phone for two years (I'm the only owner) and just started to act weird without any physical impact lately, right after 17.1 update

UPDATE: Last reflash was able to work for about 12 hours on physical SIM and then died

After that I did opposite - removed physical SIM and enabled only eSIM - now I have about 2 days working good on this scheme

I will also try to correlate issue with charging/hotspotting, i.e. conditions when iphone is getting hot to confirm if it really is physical damage produced by temperature fro example, but all previous times I found it lost connectivity was after long periods of idling (2-4hours of not using phone at all)

Well, I tried to move to physical SIM again and got locked in 4-6 hours approx

reflashed and went back to eSIM, will see how long it will last
