IOS 17 message apps bar is gone

I don't know why Apple did this but removing the apps bar in Message is the worst idea I could imagine... now we have to do a couple more steps to share gifs, photos, locations etc whereas it only requires one step previously. At least Apple should give users a customization function... This is horribly annoying .. Is there a way to send GIFs faster in Message??

I like it, looks way cleaner visually, plus I basically never use iMessage apps. But I understand why an option would be nice.
