iOS 18.0.1 CarPlay Maps Problems

Since installing iOS 18.0.1, the Apple Maps app sometimes stops working correctly with CarPlay. What happens is that the Maps app will not accept any input. My CarPlay device doesn't use a touchscreen, it uses a dial, and the Maps app will get into a state where it doesn't accept input from the dial or the Enter button. I can dial away to the other app icons, like Music, etc, and they work correctly. Navigation will continue, but once I arrive I can't click OK to indicate I've arrived. It's as if the app is half-way crashed.

Has anyone else experienced this?
