iOS 18.2 texts not coming through on Apple Watch

So my Dad and I have run into an issue. Since we updated to iOS 18.2 on our iPhone 15 Pros, texts won't come through on our Apple Watches (Series 9.) Calls do, however.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

We updated my Dad's watch already, mine is still in progress.

Update: Both the Watches and iPhones are updated to the latest iOS and WatchOS. Calls come through but no texts.

Well assuming you’ve done the usual restarting and whatever, I think the only option you have got is to re-pair the watches.

My dad's started working this morning but mine didn't. I tried restoring it from backup with no results. Going to set up mine as new and see if that works.

Another update: I set my watch up as new and asked my Dad to send me a text. It didn't show up on my watch. I sent him another message to confirm it works on his watch. It does.

I am honestly at a loss.

Hopefully the final update: My watch started receiving messages again! IDK how but it went through!

I'm sorry to report this, but my watch stopped receiving messages again.
