I noticed 2 items in your screenshot.
There is an update that your iPhone is apparently still processing, which could affect both battery life, and thermal performance. Thermal performance is how your iPhone responds to (high) temperatures.
And, further down, the last time your iPhone was charging, it stalled at 96%, due to high temperatures inside your iPhone.
The two items are likely related... Not really a problem, as your iPhone should react to high temperatures. I would be surprised if you have never seen a screen message telling you that your iPhone temporarily stopped responding because of high temperatures, or another message similar to that.
Have you tried restarting your iPhone (Shut off, then start up again). That might clear that software message, or make it work more quickly, finishing up the processing of that software update.

I had the same issue with the temperature when updating to 18.3, but I generally keep it in the charger when updating and for a while after when post install stuff is happening on the phone. The phone in this case was a 13 Pro. Don't think its anything wrong and i'd rather have the phone letting me know whats going on than just pausing the charge without letting me know why.

Had the "update finsishing in the background" for a few days when I moved from iOS 17 to 18.2

What if I factory reset it would that go away I tried turning my phone off nothing happened

You can try it, if you want...
But, seems like a major hassle for something that is relatively minor.
The update finishing in the background is not really a problem, just a report on the status of your software -- a relatively common issue, but not enough of an issue to be too concerned.
Give it a few more days to take care of itself.
