Starting yesterday (June 4), when I open the iOS Mail app, the Inbox (and other mailbox folders) does not populate, remains blank. I can go to the Mailbox list, and enter Inbox, but after a few moments it locks up, and the only recourse is to force close Mail.

I’m not alone - friends started calling with the same issue, and there are growing threads on Reddit and Apple Discussions.

A temporary solution is a Hard Reboot of the device: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios

Same. Had it yesterday for the first time, and also earlier today.

Never had this before, and no config or update has happened to cause it. So, my guess is that it's hanging, maybe getting emails from iCloud. I use the "unified inbox". If it happens again more than once, I'll disable the iCloud address and see if that fixes it.

As you say, we're not alone.

I do not think it matters if your email accounts are iCloud, Gmail, Outlook, Exchange, M365, Yahoo, etc. Seems to be happening to everyone, different mail services, different hardware models - common factor seems to be iOS 18.5

I think you're right. iOS 18.5 is the common link.

Maybe a coincidence, but at around the same time I notice that lots of my incoming mails were being incorrectly flagged as junk.

I had the white screen for the first time this afternoon, a reboot has restored the in box. I’m confident that Apple will offer an update in a timely manner.
