Just wondering if anyone is still running iOS 3 on anything. I have the original iPad and would love to put iOS 3 on it for better Safari performance.

I have a 3GS on 3.1.2 that I won't update. The 3GS is the only device that seemed to even run OS3 decently and smoothly. Haha
Aside from that a couple of iPhone 1st gens, one of which is on 3.1.3, the other on 1.0.

I dont, but just looked at the google analytics for our companies website and I'm seeing iOS 3.2 and iOS 4.0 in the traffic for the last 30 days.

iOS 3 "Continues to Live"

There is a 3rd-party firmware called "Whited00r" which is technically a pre-jailbroken iOS 3 already modified to look like iOS 7 with a bunch of the extra "cruft" removed to be optimized for performance. I won't link to it here, it case that is not allowed.

It isn't going to win any speed competitions but it seems to make first-gen devices much more usable!

I don't think the iPad can be downgraded from 5.x back to 3.x without the "SHSH blobs" for it.

If the iPad is jailbroken, here are some tweaks

I have a 3G still running 3.1.3, sn0wbreezed of course. iOS 4.2.1 really kills the phone.

IMHO 3.1.3 even kills the 3G. Only OS ever fast on it was 2.x.

It seems like the 3GS was the only one that ran OS3 decently.
