Is it possible to install the current iOS4.2 Beta 3 without having your UDID activated? I remember some controvery over this a few weeks ago but never found out who was right.

Thanks

in iTunes:
Mac - Option + Update
Windows - Shift + Update

You can update from 3.2.X to 4.2 beta X and bypass having your UDID registered, but you can not update from iOS 4.2 beta X to a higher beta build, your iPad/iPhone will be bricked and will have to wait for the official version to be released in November.

Not true at all.

What the heck are you talking about?
I had no problems going from 4.2 beta 2 to 4.2 beta 3 with the same Option + Upgrade way.

Then I redact my previous statement. Before I upgraded from beta 2 to beta 3, I googled if it was OK to do so and I came across some threads on a different forum with people having issues doing so, and ended up stuck on the 'Connect to iTunes' screen, but if this is not the case, my apologies for the miscommunication.
