ios 4.2 on iPad question

Just wondering does the iPad need to be registered to a developer to run 4.2? Or can anyone put it on the device? Thank you

Just kick back and relax, and wait for the official release. Sure, I could go for multitasking and folders right now too, but there's a reason why this is a Beta release - so developers can check their apps and make sure they are compatible, because many probably aren't at the moment. So running 4.2 now before the devs have had a chance to work out the kinks in their apps would be foolhardy. At best it would jade your user experience by only being able to experience 4.2 with considerable limitations, worst case scenario it would fail to be reliable enough for daily use.
