First of all let me state that I have my credit card in hand and my security code, the card number, and the expiration date are perfectly valid. Also let me state that the billing address for the card exactly matches what is on my statement.

I've read about this issue in other threads but it has been pre-5.1 and some even 4.0 so I'm not sure if the update is what's causing this problem. I was able to update all of my apps last night pre-the 5.1 upgrade however now it's telling me my security code is invalid when in fact I know it is not. Anyone else getting this issue? Anyone else have a fix for this issue? Could I just go to the genius bar and complain?

I'm getting the same problem. I also noticed that they took away the option to not have a payment method, for those of us who only want to download free apps.

:( no i do not. since Apple doesn't let you go without a payment method, your best bet is to get a $10 visa prepaid, change it, then change it back. it'll cost you the $3.99 activation fee though.

I was going to go to the genius bar card in hand and make them fix it if I hadn't figured it out myself. That may be your only other option.

'Security code invalid' only after iOS update Sept. 23, 2012. Before that it was valid.
In fact apparently it wasn't invalid enough for me to have 6 charges of $33 taken from my account the day I tried to buy a $4.99 item. I tried the code and address about 6 times. No refund yet. Overdrawn. No food or gas. Biggggg problem. Kids to feed!!
